The Geneva Watch Days 2022 which was one of the world’s much awaited watch fairs saw the unveiling of some outstanding new arrivals into the world watch scene. Started in 2020 and reinforced in 2021, the Geneva Watch days concept is now deep-rooted in the watchmaking industry habits: a global, decentralized, self-managed and open to the public salon. This year’s fair saw around 40 brands coming together and exhibiting their horological pieces of art.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton Eight Days

Playing on the contrasts between an 18 kt rose gold case and the transparency of its iconic case for perfect legibility, the Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days watch offers horlogerie connoisseurs an insight into the inner workings of its spectacular hand-wound and ultra-thin manufacture movement. A perfect fusion of Italian design and Swiss watchmaking expertise, the timepiece is endowed with an impressive 8-day power reserve and it comes with an elegant dark brown alligator bracelet with pin buckle. The watch has a BVL 199 SK calibre (2.50 mm thick). It comes with a 40 mm 18 kt rose gold case (5.95 mm thick), open 18 kt rose gold crown set with a black ceramic insert, openwork dial with power reserve indicator and small second counter, BVLGARI eight days logo, golden hands and a transparent case-back It is water-resistant up to 30 metres.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Sejima Edition

A true icon of contemporary fine watchmaking, the Octo Finissimo Automatic Sejima watch in polished stainless-steel channels the rare fusion of edgy Italian design and Swiss engineering through its extreme slenderness and uncompromisingly forward-thinking mechanics. Designed in collaboration with the Japanese star of architecture, this Limited Edition not only features a self-winding manufacture movement retaining its record slimness of 2.23 mm, it also sparkles with its mirrored and transparent effects.

Octo Finissimo Sejima Limited Edition watch come with a mechanical manufacture in-house movement with automatic winding (micro-rotor), BVL 138 calibre (2.23 mm thick), minutes and small seconds and a power reserve of 65 hours. The model has a 40 mm polished stainless steel case (6.40 mm thick), stainless steel crown set with black ceramic insert, polished dial with sapphire crystal and metallised dots, transparent case-back with Sejima signature and a polished stainless steel bracelet with three-blade folding buckle. It is water-resistant up to 100 metres.

Bulgari Serpenti Seduttori Black

It is tough to speak of elegance and sensuality without mentioning black. At Bulgari, black blends in with the materials and this shade adorns the iconic Serpenti Seduttori which is one of the latest additions to the serpenti collection.This series carries with it many familiar elements of its predecessors but has a more reptilian looking bracelet design which has a more snake skin appearance. Whereas the bracelets on the previous series often had a 1.5x or more wraparound bracelet that was ribbed and snaked up the wrist whereas the Serpenti Seduttori watches have a bracelet resembling the scales on the skin of a serpent. 

The Case is of 34mm diameter and of 9.40mm height. It is made of 18k white gold case and bracelet set with 5 ct of brilliant-cut diamonds and 7 ct of baguette-cut black spinels. The model has a white gold crown set with cabochon-cut black spinel and is water resistant up to 30m. The Dial is diamond pavé with black spinel indices (Roman XII) and a tourbillon aperture at 6 o'clock. Movement is in-house manual-winding of calibre BVL150 and has 23 jewels

Ulysse Nardin Blast Tourbillon Rainbow

Water resistant to 50 meters and driven by an automatic flying tourbillon, the BLAST is powered by the UN-172 caliber movement with Silicium technology enclosed in a black DLC titanium case and sealed with a black ceramic polished and sandblasted upper case. This limited edition of 50 timepieces promises 72 hours of power reserve and comes with a waterproof velvet rubber strap or a black alligator strap, together with a black DLC titanium and black ceramic self-deploying buckle.

Ulysse Nardin Lady Diver Rainbow

The new Lady Diver Rainbow is an eye-catching model with dazzling decorative touches. Breitling Top Time Classic Cars Capsule Collection

A distinctive celebration of design and freedom, Breitling’s Top Time Classic Cars Capsule Collection pays homage to classic sports cars from the 1960s.

This unconventional trio of racing chronographs draws inspiration from the Chevrolet Corvette, the Ford Mustang, and the Shelby Cobra, three icons of American car culture. The timepieces themselves are a nod to the original 1960s Breitling Top Time models, which were designed for “young and active professionals”. Today’s modern-retro interpretations are perhaps even more youthful and free-spirited.

The 42 mm cases of the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang versions house the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 25, a self-winding 1/8th of a second chronograph movement with a power reserve of about 42 hours. Both watches feature a tachymeter scale and three black contrasting sub-dials. Their dials display the car logos at the 12 o’clock position.

Inside the slightly smaller 40 mm Top Time Shelby Cobra beats the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 41, a self-winding 1/4th of a second chronograph movement with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. It has a white tachymeter scale and two white contrasting subdials, plus the Cobra logo at the 6 o’clock position.
